The short version
Car Sales Log does not collect, sell or share any of your data. The deals you add stay in your own browser, on your own computer. We never see them.
Who we are
Car Sales Log is a free browser extension for Chrome and Firefox, made by Yafet Segued. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean the maker of Car Sales Log.
What the extension stores
When you add a deal, the extension saves what you type so it can show your totals and charts:
- Customer name, vehicle, stock number and sale date
- Deal type (finance, cash, lease or outside finance), new or used, and full or half deal
- Commission, if you choose to enter it
- Your monthly goal and your last-used deal type
All of this is saved only in your browser’s local storage on your device. It is never sent to us, to a server, or to anyone else. The extension makes no network requests.
What we don’t do
- No accounts and no sign-in
- No analytics, tracking or advertising
- No selling, renting or sharing of data — we don’t have any to share
- No reading of the web pages you visit or your browsing history
Permissions
Car Sales Log asks your browser for one permission: storage, so it can keep your deals on your device. It does not ask to read or change websites, and it cannot see what’s in your tabs.
Customer information
Because the deals you add can include customer names, please follow your dealership’s rules for handling customer information. Car Sales Log keeps that information on your computer only, but you are in control of what you enter and who can use your computer.
Deleting your data
You can delete any deal from the Car Sales Tracker at any time. Removing the extension, or clearing your browser’s site data, also erases everything it stored. Since we never receive a copy, we can’t recover deleted data — print your monthly report if you want a backup.
This website
This website is hosted on Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify may log basic technical information (such as your IP address) for security and reliability; see Netlify’s Privacy Policy for details. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. We don’t use cookies, analytics or ads on this site.
The web version works the same way: your deals are saved only in your own browser. Use Backup to download a copy.
Children
Car Sales Log is made for working car sales professionals and is not directed at children under 13.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
